How it Works

  • 01

    Phone screen

We’ll set up an introductory chat with a member of our recruiting team that helps us learn a bit more about you, your background, and your interest in the role — and gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have about work and life at Hometap.

  • 02

    Interview with hiring manager

You may be invited to talk one on one with the hiring manager for your role. At this point, you’ll have the opportunity to dig a little deeper into the job description. Now’s a great time to ask those more specific questions you’ve been wondering about since your phone screen.

  • 03

    Skills assessment

It’s time to show off your skills in the form of a “take-home” assignment. You’ll have some time to spend with the project so you can think about how to best tackle it. Depending on the nature of the work, you may be asked to present your finished product to the hiring manager and talk through your process with them.

  • 04

    Team interviews

You’re almost done! We’ll have you meet a few more members of your prospective team so all of you can get a better sense of how you’d interact and create solutions together.

Preparing for your interview

You’ve accepted your offer. Now what?

Congratulations! We’re so excited to have you join the Hometap team. After you sign your offer and fill out some necessary paperwork, we'll chat with your references and complete a background check. Once these steps are complete, we'll provide you with all of the details and equipment you need to get going.

Onboarding and beyond

Your first few weeks at any new job can be overwhelming, but we aim to make it as stress-free and informative as possible. You’ll have the chance to learn a bit about each department through an in-depth presentation that introduces you to your colleagues, what they do, and how everyone works together so you can get up to speed in no time.
